As I write this testimonial, our frenchie, Chumley is sitting on my lap. He is the most wonderful puppy. We have two bullmastiffs and now our frenchie. They all get along so well, but only Chumley gets to sit on my lap. My husband has know Ellen and Jeff for decades and we know how terrific they are and how terriffic their dogs are. Each puppy is taken care of like they are Ellen's pet. No expense is spared and nothing but the best is done for them. I have known Ellen since 2006 when we got our Standard Poodle Bella. She loves her dogs very much and I can honestly say they are spoiled rotten! Her dogs live in the house and run freely, they are not kennel dogs. That was important to me when I started looking for a poodle, I wanted a family dog raised in a family environment. Bella is an exceptional dog, friendly, confident and so sweet...that comes from being raised with someone that cares very much about their puppies. Since then Ellen and I have became very good friends. I am always asking for her advice and knowledge about breeding and puppy care. We now own one of her French Bulldogs, Cherri is a great dog and we love her very much! We have been to her house many times visiting her puppies and helping to socialize them, my daughter always sits with the puppies the whole time we are there. I am a breeder also, Bernese Mountain Dogs, there are many types of breeders, some that don't care for their puppies as well as they should and then there are the type like Ellen, she makes every day about her dogs and making sure they have the best of everything. Hi Ellen, just a quick update on our boy:
Scott was introduced to the equivalent of the “Gucci” of dog trainers by the name of J.D. … a super, great guy. Scott and his children were visiting us in Nantucket and boarded Morty with J.D. during his absence and to also continue his training … this lasted about 2 weeks in duration.
Yesterday, J.D. brought him to our house so we could get caught up on the training part. Well, this little guy would graduate Summa Cum Laude from Harvard if he was enrolled … he’s amazing. He heals, sits, lies down, stays, and spots when given just the mildest command. J.D., who has 5 dogs himself, is in TOTAL love with Morty. He took him every place he went and videoed and photographed him … which he keeps on his cell phone! When they heard that Morty was staying with him, all his friends would rush over to his house to be with him. Several even threatened to “steal” him when J.D. wasn’t looking!
Seriously, J.D., who has an enormous client list, said that Morty is the most lovable, sweet, fun, smart (really smart) and athletic dog he’s trained. He said that if Scott ever wanted to give him up, he’d take him in a heartbeat!
So, I wanted to brag again about one of your SUPER STARS!! Had you known how unbelievable he is, you might have had to send him to Sotheby’s when they’re auctioning off Rembrandt’s!!!
